DO GAMERS KNOW THEIR COVER ART!

Alright folks. It's been nearly a year since I began to post this game. It's been a great way to ensure that I make at least 2 posts a month and I have enjoyed your responses. After a year, I feel like it may be time to make a slight tweak. I will still be posting on the 1st and 15th of each month. My posts on the 1st of the month will be on the easier side and my posts on the 15th will be much more challenging. Lucky for all of us, this will be my first post sticking to this structure and it will certainly be a challenge. Of course I hope this change will be a welcome one and as always constructive criticism is more than welcome.

In my time over the past year it has also come to my attention that there is an easy way to view the pictures without scrolling. I'm sure many of you have figured this out so if I'm a little late to the game I apologize, but if you click on the first picture in the post a gallery of sorts opens up and you can simply click on the picture again to go to the next photo. BRILLIANT.

Now, without further ado, let the game begin. CHALLENGE EDITION STYLE!

If this is your first time allow me to explain how this works. I will post a picture of a video game's cover art almost entirely blacked out. Each picture after that will slowly reveal more of the cover art and it's your job to figure out what game it is with as little of the picture as possible. The cover art can be from any system, any game, past, present, and even future if it has yet to release. I look forward to hearing how well (or poorly) you did in the comments. Sound good? Good.

ANSWER: Nier Automata, Reverse Art

SCORE:

1-4: You achieved all 26 endings!!! 26 endings?!? Yep! One for each letter of the alphabet!

5-8: You beat the game! Now you just need to do that 25 more times!

9-12: You started to play but never finished your first play through.

13-15: You downloaded the demo...and never played it.

My score system for this one is a bit sad, because while I did play the demo, I've yet to start the game. It's actually sitting on my shelf right now in backlog purgatory. One day...Anyway. Nier is one of those niche games that too many people just don't know enough about it to give it a chance. I was one of those people, but Nier Automata decided it would be in the game's best interest to put up a demo before launch. That demo was enough to sell me on the game. I thought it was phenomenal. I know I know, I still haven't played the game yet, but seriously, the demo was stupid fun. One of the things I love most about this game is how much fun you can tell Yoko Taro and his team had making it. Even Square has embraced the game and thrown the company's own CEO in as a special DLC boss fight. This is something I've come to really appreciate from games. Too often I feel like games take themselves too seriously these days, but games are GAMES! I may have gone on a bit of a tangent here, but if you have a PS4 and you have never heard of or tried Nier Automata do yourself a favor and give the demo a shot. It may just surprise you.

I hope you all enjoy the new format going forward. As always, sound off in the comments and I'll see you on the first with a somewhat less challenging post. Thanks for playing!
