Welcome to my blog. This is my Best of Cod Maps edition. Here i am gonna tell you all of my favorite maps from Call of Duty ranging from World at War to Black ops 2. I dont think its necassary for me too add any maps from previous versions because i never played them.(Sorry to all the CoD 4 fans out there) As it may take away from the integrity of the blog i appologize in advance. This list consists of the maps that i think are the best/funnest to play. Its a personal list so if you wanna add what maps you like feel free to let me know in the comments. Also if you wanna add what type of loadouts you like to use that would be cool.
World At War - Im gonna take a second here to write a little about this game. I got it when i was 14. I just moved into my "Dads" house and he bought it for me for christmas. Honestly at first my first impression of the online multi player was it was hard to get used too. When i got better at it is when it became addicting. It was almost too fun trying too get killstreaks and the experiece system is rewarding. Treyarch really delivered with this game and i think its the best CoD game made.
Dome This was my first favorite map in Cod multiplayer. Being that the map is so small it was easy to get use to but is sometimes annoying because noob tubes would be constantly raining down on your spawn. Other than that i have no complaints and actually im a fan of smaller maps such as nuke town in blackops and blackops2. The bunker up the stairs is a good place to make for as it provides a good over look spot where you can take an edge on the other team. In my experience id try not to get caught in the middle as running through that part is the most dangerous spot in the level. When i played i mostly used an Mp40 being that was also my favorite gun. Team deathmatch and Free for all were the best game types to play on this map. Search and Destroy is way to boring for this map due to the fact that respawning and hoping back in to the mix is what gives small maps their appeal.
Courtyard This was always a favorite map of mine being that it is really balanced in both size and proportion. The spawns always seemed balanced and i always play this map well. Besides the frantic gun fights centered around the middle of the map its pretty easy to scramble your way around and earn solid kill streaks. The best feature about this map is the ledge that follows its way all the way around the map with a few cracks in it here and there. It provides a structure that is present throughout the entire map, making it a focus of players gameplay. But unfortunetly it gives us another reason to hate campers who stick to their ways of sitting in one spot for a whole game. I cant stand campers.
Modern Warefare 2- Vinny bought me this. You know who you are if your the guy but at the same time you might not. Any way this is where i started getting good at CoD. I mainly use the assualt rifle classes along with submachine guns. Trying to get a nuke is what kept my CoD addiction alive. With creepy thoughts of the weird girl in the back of my head i pressed on trying to work my harrrier into a nuke. Watching Hutch put in work on youtube keep me wanting to plat and i get nostalgic thinking about it. Other than that imma keep it going. These are my favorite maps.
Scrapyard A great balanced map. Theres no way sombody can like this map not. Theres too many positive features that blend toghether nicley. Making it a well deserved canidate for its spot on this list. The two houses sitting across from each other make a nice spot for sneaky snipers to get a look at the battle field and cross names off their list. The tubular things intruding the empty space in the middle of the map are a good place to send your assualt rifle units and sub machine gunners. I like the area beyond the house on the left in the top left corner. Thats normally where i head to in any demolition game to work on my kill streaks.
Terminal Any Call of Duty player knows about this map and what makes it so good. A plethora of reasons that cannot be simply explained by me. The map layout and level structure are components complementing each other making objective type play an experience that really gets you enthrawled in the game. Theres so many dynamics to consider while working this map. Different layers contrasting each other. Such as the airplane and the roof next to the hallway of death. Also the room in between the hallway and the area where the plants are. Components like these are what i look for when i play and honestly help me string together good gameplays.
Favela The same can be said about this map as what i said about Terminal. It is a dynamic map with many layers fitting together in unity to make it complex and highly playable. Describing specific areas that i enjoy during playing would be a waste of time as im sure many reading this already know the level well so can relate to me. But what i will say is the size of it and buildings contained within functionally enhances gameplay experience while i seek entertainment through this type of media. Even though this map in particular uses buildings well, all maps throughout Modern Warfare 2 have the same type of theme. Along with buildings and windows youll see hallways, large rooms and alleyway schemes.
Blackops- Ive heard many say "that game is gonna suck". I cant vouch for them. Since the first time i picked it up every aspect of it recieved my praise without me even conciouslly decifering what i liked about it. The guns come in variety and the maps are unique dynamic and playable. The campaign mode was better than Mw3. Zombies is always a bounus and zombie arcade was a bounus bounus.
Array My favorite map by far out of all the blackops maps. Its also one of my most played. As i mentioned in my "Best Call of Duty Guns" Blog the best class setup for this map is the FAMA's with an extended clip and claymores(opinions may vary). Even though i just wrote a blog with that gun in it i still wanna talk about it. The iron sites on the weapon are my favorite in CoD and with the extended clip i feel invincible. Anyway the main building in the center of the map is the best spot to go to when playing demolition or team deathmatch, again in my opinion(or imo for short). Im not sure if that's an official abbreviation but from now on when you read me write and see imo thats what it means. Whenever i play i avoid the side by the cliff unless i can make a clean push through to the enemies spawn. As i said before this is my favorite map in CoD and im looking foward to seeing them remake it in ghost which i think is what there doing.
Radiation I like this map and i think you should too. The biggest reason it stands apart from other maps is that its a dynamic map. Another map that has the same qualification is Launch. What makes it dynamic kiddies is the fact that when you press the button you can shut the big trap doors in the middle of the map and with Launch after the missle fires and if your within its radius you die. So besides the fact that its a dynamic map i like how it has alot of levels to it. With the different rooms and underground spots along with the ledge overlooking the map where the big red button is.
So i was gonna do black ops 2 and MW3 in this post but i got lazy and decided ill save those two subjects for later. That concludes my post about what i was talking about this whole time. Im not one for writing good conclusion paragraphs so im just gonna stop it like a dead end right there. Also im too lazy to proof read it so ill just post it right after i slap some pictures on it and regret it later. I also don't like spell check today. Happy birthyday!
