The Future is Coming

I have seen the future, and it is great. If you have not done so already I suggest you go and watch the pre-launch Xbox One videos Gamespot has posted on its YouTube channel. There is a very nice selection as they go over EVERY launch title available (I think). For now  I want to discuss the current situation.

Xbox One had a rough start at E3 but it seems if fans and critics have anything to say about it they have made a glorious comeback, even swaying some PS4 'devotees' to the Xbox One side. Though I'm not a die hard Xbox fan (well I am, but not the point where I hate you if you like the PS4) I do hope that everything goes smoothly for both sides. Xbox is set to release on November 22 and I have to say, I think all this competition will be very healthy for both sides.

So far what I have seen is the same across the board, PS4 is a great machine but the launch lineup is good. With one reviewer I say saying he liked Reshogun the best and another saying Blacklight: Retribution as theirs. The 1st-party titles are lacking is also a general agreement, with Knack being the most 'controversial.' As I have not had first hand experience I will not relay any of my personal opinions on the matter.

The launch lineup is looking exciting for the Xbox One as well as the Xbox One. The hardware and UI is looking sharp and the games are looking even better. I can't wait to see what Ryse plays like, and I have to say to all of those against Ryse I think it will be a great success, I suggest watching Gamespot's video on Ryse. I will not go into bits and pieces but I think Gameinformer has not given it the full justice it deserves...

Dead Rising is also shaping up to be an excellent title. Though I have heard of occasional issues I have also heard that it is the best title in the series, and being a launch title seriously puts them ahead of other titles. From what I have seen so far I can tell its going to be fun to play around with.

Early reviewers are stating Forza to be the best in the series though still lacking in some aspects. Right now I have Horizon though I think it is lacking in some areas. Its looks beautiful though and everything is fluid and great. Also telemetry has been added for hardcore racers. This was also theflagship title to show off the rumbles motors that Microsoft is so proud of in the triggers (and for good reason).

All in all its going to be a great rest of the year and I can't wait to get my hands on the Xbox One and Ryse sometime around Christmas. For now I am voting for Ryse for my Xbox One game of the year and Xbox One for my console of the decade!
