Women in Video Games From A Guy's Perspective

Okay so this is a topic a lot of people think guys should not have an opinion on. Which is probably true, but here it goes. I want to start by saying, I enjoy looking at women. And don't mind when some games accentuate their features. But there is a time and a place for everything. And In my opinion games like Mass Effect, or Bioshock are more damaging in their portrayal of women, than Saints Row or Deadpool. The reason being that Saints Row and Deadpool are not meant to be  taken seriously. Mass Effect on the other hand, is a very serious dramatic game about saving the universe. So its strange they felt the need to add a blatant sci-fi trope. If you don't know what I'm talking about, then you probably didn't play the game. In it there is a race of only female people, who all have large breasts, hour glass figures, and of course, they are all bi-sexual.

Now about Bioshock, I'm sure most of you heard how the internet reacted to Elizabeth's outfit and character model. Ken Levine was not happy. I agree that as usual the internet reacted quite immature. However I also think Ken Levine was a bit disingenuous in how surprised he was that, after he put a beautiful girl in a revealing outfit, every guy was looking at her boobs. It's like when women wear tight tank tops and short shorts, and can't figure why every guy is either looking at them or asking for their phone number. I'm not saying its right I'm just saying you know what you're doing.
