So I used to not know anything about computers or programming or any of that stuff. However I love technology and I love gaming and I have always appreciated the work people put into making their products better. So I am a senior in high school, and I decided to take a computer architecture class and also a computer science class. It is only my 3rd week of school and I have learned all kinds of cool info. I learned how much work can go into programming, how huge a code can be for just a website's homepage, how SSDs are different from HDDs, why good graphics cards matter, etc. etc.. If you do not know very much about computers but are really interested in them, take a computer architecture class. You really will not regret it, and you'll actually get to participate in the conversations on this website about each console's hardware specs and all that good stuff. There is an online class on testout for it that is pretty good. My Comp. archt. teacher makes us go through the class and then listen to a short lecture from him, eventually we are going to get to completely take a computer apart and then put it back together, so that's awesome. Computer Science is fun because you get to play with programs like python and notepad++(we used notepad++ for making a website using html and css). And this is just this first 3 weeks of school. We still have a lot of cool stuff to learn and practice. So if you like gaming, appreciate technology, or just want to look smart in front of people that do not know very much tech stuff, take a computer architecture class, it is really cool. And I hope to one day work with Gameinformer and I think that just knowing how hardware specs are important and how games are programmed will give me an edge over regular journalists that just have a journalism degree and a passion for games (I already have a passion for games and I hope to get a journalism degree). Heck i'd be happy just being the tech guy that helps editors with computer problems.... Aaaaanyway (sorry I kind of just went on a rant about nothing), take the damn class!
