Fable 3 is the third game in the fable RPG series. Fable 3 takes place in albion. You play as the prince or princess. Your father the king is dead and now your brother has taken his place. But unfortunately for you and the people of albion, The new king is a ruthless tyrant. Now it's up to you to become the hero albion needs, Or just another tyrant. The choice is yours, Choose wisely. Fable 3 has a few different styles of gameplay. There is your basic combat, Characters interactions and jobs. The combat is as basic as basic gets. You have light attacks and heavy attacks plus special moves. There are also spell and guns to use in combat. The different weapons in combat range from swords and hammers, To pistols and rifles. The combat is fun and easy to get the hang of. However as you go through the game you don't earn much in the way of new moves, So the combat can get very repetitive. Otherwise the combat feels and plays great. The uses of guns and spells works well with the regular gameplay. The guns are easy to use and a great way to take care of the lesser enemies. The spells work like a grenade, Throw it and let it work it's magic. As you go through the game you gain more spells like fire, Ice and lightning. Plus the choices you make not only impact the world around you, But your weapons as well. If you make good choices then your weapons look and become good, Same thing with evil choices. But your weapons are not the only things that change, Your hero also changes how they look because of the choices you make. Then you have character interactions, That can take place between you and any other character in the game. The hero can become friends, Lovers and husband and wife. The hero can also receive gifts from best friends or worst enemies. If you choose to get married then you and your significant other can have kids. You can give and receive gifts from your kids, Which makes them happier. You can go on dates, Take and deliver letters, Go on quest with and for other characters. The hero can have multiple partners in different towns across albion, Just make sure they never meet. When you interact with people you have different choices on how you want to handle it. You can be nice, Mean or just a fool. The choice is yours. And now the jobs. There are a few different jobs to play. You have lute hero and pie maker, Which are the best jobs to earn some quick cash. All of the jobs are quick time events. As the levels get harder you start to earn more money. Lute hero is just like the name suggests, It is like guitar hero but with a lute instead. Pie maker is you making pie over and over again. The jobs offer a nice break from combat and just something else to do. Last but not lest, The sanctuary. The sanctuary is your home base. You can fast travel to any town from the sanctuary, You can change your clothes in the dressing, Then store all of the awesome weapons you find in the armory. Plus the treasure room where you keep all of your gold and trophies. There are also a number of different collectibles to find through out albion. You have legendary weapons, Evil gnomes, Rare books and flowers. The legendary weapons are some of the best weapons in the game, But finding all of them can be difficult. The evil gnomes quests are some of the funnest in the game, Finding all of of them is a real pain. The quests to find all of the rare books and flowers are some of the most boring quests in the game. There is no real gain by finding all of them. you also have silver and gold keys to find hidden across albion. Finding all of the keys is well worth it, Because they unlock chests in albion that hold some of the best loot in the game. The music for fable 3 is pretty good. All of the original music is grade a fantasy music. It's easy on the ears, But can also be just as intense as the battles you get in. It's a good overall mix of both styles. The sound is mediocre at best. There will be times when your talking to someone, And all of a sudden the sound just fades out. Which can happen often, But it does not last that long. The voice acting is great. All of the characters have unique voices and some pretty funny dialog. Fable's graphics are very cartoony, But it does fit the vibe and tone to a t. The characters in every town have their own look, And same with the environments. They all look like they are straight out of a fairy tale. Since the choices you make change your character and weapons, Everything play through looks different. The monsters and all other evil things you fight, All have a unique look to them as well. Everything just has so much detail to it, And a lot of character. Which makes fable 3 very unique. Overall, Fable 3 is a fun and funny third person RPG. The combat is fun and feels great, But can be boring at times. The many different side quests offer a lot of fun. All of the characters from the main people to the random guy on the street, Have a lot of unique characteristics. The music is really good but the sound could be better. The graphics fit very well with the tone and look great. It is a short game, Only about fourteen to fifteen hours long. It's easy and fun and well worth a look for fans of RPGS, Or for someone who wants to get into RPGS. All in all a good game.
